yay! i finally am able to participate in this awesome link-up since i didn't forget this time!
what are you currently reading? tell us about it! i am reading the book thief by markus zusak, a story written from the perspective of death during the nazi era about a semi-illiterate girl who steals books from a variety of unlikely situations like during a nazi book-burning. so far, it's pretty interesting, although i am still waiting for it to get really good! i'm still unsure of the overall theme.
do you judge a book by its cover? what cover elements make you not want to pick up a book? i judge books mostly by the description on the back cover more so than the front, but there are definitely some cover graphics that have made me not even want to read the back. i tend to put back books that have really juvenile-looking fonts or pictures. i am also not a fan of titles that sound like they'd be "dumb" - haha. i have no idea how i even define that, but i just know if something sounds "dumb," i won't pick it up!
do you participate in any other book link-ups? i just joined in on the semi-charmed summer reading challenge, and will participate in its corresponding link-ups!
have you ever watched a movie that was better than its book version? i haven't! i did like the lord of the rings and the perks of being a wallflower as much as i liked the books, however!
do you read more often during any particular season? i tend to read the most during the fall and winter when i want to cuddle up under the covers with a book because it is too cold to go outside. when it's warmer, i tend to travel more, and since my preferred method of travel is driving, i don't usually get much time to read. i do plan to read quite a bit on my cruise, though, since i won't have to worry about transporting myself.
what is the worst book you've read this year? why? i can't say i've really disliked a book this year. there were a few parts that i disliked in a couple of books, but not enough for me to claim it as the worst!
